Praxis » Volume 13 (2022)
Praxis is a peer-reviewed annual journal of the Department of English,
Rajshahi University. Our primary focus is on the publication of research in the English language and literature, but we also welcome papers on Bangla literature, book reviews, commentaries, or opinion pieces on issues of importance to teaching language and literature, translations of creative or learned work, as well as interviews with distinguished scholars and writers.
We would also consider other kinds of writing—in areas of history, sociology, mass media, the visual and performing arts—that are based predominantly on English language sources or research materials. Authors will be responsible for obtaining permission for the use of copy-righted material.
Since Praxis attempts to accommodate diverse types of write-ups, it allows different formats of documentation and citation but may edit papers for consistency throughout a volume. Papers on literature should use MLA style (footnotes instead of in-text citation are permissible); papers on linguistics and language may use APA style. Contributors are advised to keep the length of their write-ups within eight thousand words. Along with your paper please send an abstract of maximum 200 words, and a bio-note of maximum 50 words. Submissions should be made in soft copy, that is, electronic (MS Word) format, and may be sent to the following email-address:
maswood2005@gmail.com
Contributions are received throughout the year. The submitted articles, after initial editorial screening, are sent to expert reviewers for opinion, and only recommended papers are published. In the final stage of publication, the editor/s hold the right to exercise necessary interventions into the write-ups for making them suitable for publishing in Praxis.
