Abstract

Human rights are the rights that all individuals are entitled to by virtue of their humanity, regardless of their gender, race, colour, religion, political or other opinion or social status. The rights we strive for are enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Those rights are embedded in International Law through the United Nations human rights treaties. They consist of civil and political rights such as equality before the law, freedom from torture, freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of thought, conscience and religion, and the right to take part in the government of one’s own country. Economic, social and cultural rights include the right to employment, to a decent standard of living. health and education.

Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this: Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.) read more
