The legislature makes law, the executive enforces law and the judiciary explains law. Among these three organs the greatest responsibility is on the judiciary especially on the apex court to realise the state’s fundamental aim through its different mechanisms. People repose faith in the judiciary for complete administration of justice but seeking justice in our country through due process is too expensive where it is not always possible to provide the benefit of justice to the economically disadvantaged community. To address this situation, the legislature has empowered the High Court Division to exercise suo moto jurisdiction through ordinary and constitutional legislation. This paper consolidates the suo moto jurisdiction and its application by the High Court Division for promoting human rights in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":222,"template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"article-category":[42],"class_list":["post-249","journal","type-journal","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","article-category-law-journal-2013"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/journal\/249","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/journal"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/journal"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/journal\/249\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":251,"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/journal\/249\/revisions\/251"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/222"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=249"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"article-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/csg.ru.ac.bd\/lawjournal\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/article-category?post=249"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
