Abstract
The vehement rate of cyber-crime is more vulnerable against women in the society of Bangladesh now a days. Cyber-crime is causing serious harm to the life of a woman. Though there is mostly no physical injury caused, women become mentally exhausted by this crime. Young aged women are more victimized person through this crime. This paper examines the reasons, types, and extent of cyber-crime against women in Bangladesh. This paper also analyzes how this crime is different from traditional crime along with what kinds of challenges have been facing by the victims to take any legal step in this regard. This study uplifts how the covid-19 pandemic has escalated the cyber harassment particularly against women and teenage girls. This study focuses on the understanding of terrific effect of cyber-crime and an intuitive ability of laws and regulations enacted in Bangladesh to fight against it. This study makes a criticism over the current laws and regulations in ensuring the security of women at the cyber space. At the end this paper suggests several remedies available to the cyber victims, women and the amendment required in legal system to fruitfully suppress the rising spirit of cyber-crime tremendously affected the women in Bangladesh.
