Abstract
Like many women around the world, women in Bangladesh have had to face violations to their human rights year after year. Throwing of acid is a major tool of violence of women. It is an obnoxious crime. Mass media can play an important role to protest against throwing of acid as well as others social institutions and aware people against oppression of women. In this perspective, this research unfolds the representation of violence against women throwing acid in national newspapers of Bangladesh.
